Representatives of ALANUR provided technical support to the negotiations for harmonized regulations of food supplements in the ‘Technical Barriers to International Trade – Regulatory Cooperation’ Subgroup of the Pacific Alliance, during the week of June 11th – 15th in the city of Lima, Peru.
Throughout the development of the meetings, ALANUR coordinated dissertations of leading technical experts on matters related to the establishment of maximum levels for micronutrients and regulatory trends in the use of claims. We also supported the efforts of the Pacific Alliance Business Council (CEAP) to reconcile positions and move towards a deeper harmonization of supplements regulations for Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
